Information hierarchy is key to a streamlined and engaging user experience.
The Untethered event includes live streaming sessions, on-demand content, and webinars—as well as a library of previous years’ content, speakers, and partners. This wealth of information needs to not only be well-organized but also easy to explore. Creating a homepage section with tabs highlighting content for all these groups allowed users to easily find top sessions and featured speakers while allowing the event to showcase the vast array of content Untethered includes. Sessions included a grid and table view so users could browse as they desired. Hierarchy played a large role in the cards for each session to give users all the information they needed at a glance. Considerations included needing to communicate the when and the why of each session while also highlighting top partners and featured speakers. With an emphasis on an ongoing content library, the Untethered website function not only as an annual virtual event but serve as a valuable resource for the events industry.

An event for event professionals to create community and boost audience engagement.
Designing for event people comes with the challenge of making an engaging interface that feels fresh and new to those saturated in the industry. With an emphasis on future-forward event technology for hybrid events, we designed the website to feel exciting and energizing. The talks focused on emphasizing the power of community to create and define the future of hybrid events. With top leaders in the industry presenting and sponsoring, it was important to showcase those people while also highlighting the partner companies. The Untethered event series is community focused, so the website was designed to be a space for people to come together to co-create the future of events.
