Creating an intuitive, customizable digital experience.

Customers expanding their event into a digital experience want something to suit their industry and fit their brand. Hubb needed customizable themes to provide a unique feel for different events while maintaining consistency. The primary focus was managing an intuitive experience for the users setting up their events while also providing a branded environment for attendees.

On-trend theme templates designed for top industries.

We first tackled the project by determining the best industries to focus on for baseline themes. Using existing customer data and industry trends our team determined five industry verticals that would be able to capture a wide variety of potential event needs. The five themes included music and entertainment, technology, beauty and lifestyle, corporate, and photo-heavy. The themes all use the same components but support multiple color and style options, all designed to meet WCAG and ADA compliance standards. A variety of typography choices and light and dark mode options allow customers to quickly and easily design a custom digital event platform that fits their brand.

In addition to designing a visually engaging event, we also introduced a Gamification feature to encourage user participation. The addition of Gamification motivated users to explore the digital platform, including viewing sponsors which increases sponsor value.

The foundational strategy for ensuring a consistent user experience was the design system for Hubb Events web application. This design system incorporated typography, complex color palette, custom icon library, padding and layout systems, and various components with ample documentation for both designers and developers to ensure consistent usage and implementation.

Close collaboration for well-executed development of unique themes.

The Jennergy team collaborated closely with the development team to craft five themes that seamlessly tailored the Hubb platform to cater to diverse industries. These themes not only ensured a uniform user experience in customizing events but also delivered distinctive and captivating digital events.

Our "Gradient" theme was targeted towards the Music and Entertainment industries featuring bright colored gradients, modern typography, and various sleek overlay treatments for user interface elements.

Technology was the core idea behind this theme and was created for those clients in the tech industry featuring dark mode with bright pops of color, overlays, and clean typography, making the user interface feel sharp and future forward.

For those industries who could really bring some powerful photography we designed a "Photo Heavy" theme featuring grid and masonry inspired layouts making the photography the star of the show alongside modern typography and a minimal color palette.

The "Avant Garde" theme was targeted towards the Beauty and Lifestyle industries featuring a minimal color palette with bold contrasting typography and elegant user interface elements.

The Hubb Event Platform supported both light and dark mode as part of the default theme and was designed to meet all WCAG and ADA compliance standards.

To encourage user participation and engagement within the application a "Gamification" feature was introduced which would allow attendees to see how they compared with others in exploring the various features of the event platform.

Jennergy provided us not only the strategic user experience designs for our long term product development but has also assisted in unique and client specific experiences to match their unique needs.
